"RAY," "HOUSEWIVES" NAB PRISM
HONORS

Jamie Foxx and Ray are still winning
kudos, this time leading the Prism awards.
Entertainment Industry [sic] Council awards, doled
out Thursday night at the Beverly Hills Hotel, are
given for the accurate depiction of alcohol, drug
and tobacco use in television, feature film, video,
music and comic book entertainment.
Foxx won for performance in a theatrical feature
for Ray, while pic took home the prize
for wide release feature film. Desperate Housewives
was honored in the TV comedy multi-episode storyline
category. Ray Liotta got the nod for performance in
a drama series episode for television for ER,
and Christine Lahti was hailed for performance in
a drama storyline for Jack & Bobby.
Also winning was A Love Song for Bobby Long,
which took home the kudo for feature filmlimited
release.
Also honored: yakker Dr. Phil for Addictions;
Spike, for UntoldDarryl Strawberry;
HBO Family for Smashed: Toxic Tales of Teens
and Alcohol; and ESPN, for SportsCenterDexter
Manley.
Thesp Gerald McRaney, one of the founding EIC board
members and active trustees, was presented with the
Larry Stewart Leadership & Inspiration award.
Kudo is given for leadership and inspiration by example.
